Is there a way to prevent my secondary board from attempting to complete the primary board's sprint?

Will make this as concise as possible for ease of answering, as too many details will convolute my question quickly.

  • Board A - Majority of work items are created here. A small population of those items are using a LABEL for filtering.
  • Board B - Recently created for a specialized project. Smaller number of work items being created here, and the board view query is pointing to pull in work items on Board A that are using the LABEL that was indicated for this project.
  • Since adding the query to begin seeing the LABEL work items on Board B, when you access Board B, the tab says '2 Sprints' and on the top of Board B is a COMPLETE SPRINT button. When clicked, this button is trying to complete the Sprint associated to Board A. Somehow Board A is merged/incorporated onto Board B, even though they don't share the same exact workflow, have different work Keys, etc.
  • Is there a way to view the LABEL items created on Board A within the columns on Board B, while maintaining them as separate boards?

Hi Arel,

If it is a scrum board and work items from that sprint show on the board, then yes it will try to function just like Board A. If you don't need Board B to truly be a scrum board, then create Board B as a Kanban board so you can see the work items, and get rid of the scrum board B.
