Is there a way to pre-populate Original Estimate field with a default number?

Hello All,

I would like to know if there is a way to pre-populate "1 minute" into the Original Estimate field under Jira issues when they are created?

I will provide a screenshot of the field I am referring to below.

Much appreciated to whoever can provide me a solution for this question.

You should be able to do that via an Automation rule. 1m Automation.png

Hi Jon,

Thanks for answering my question and for sharing that feature.

Do you know if there is way to also create this same automation rule to already created (existing) Jira issues that do not have an original estimate field filled in yet? I could not find a way to accomplish this.
