Is there a way to modify the key of a subtask?

I'm using the "Create on Transition" subtask creation post function. Is there a way to possibly modify the key of a subtask to distinguish it more from the parent? It is confusing end-users because it looks the same. (PI-351 might be a parent issue with PI-400 being the subtask)

No, we looked around quite a bit. Keys are automatically assigned by JIRA. we were looking for a parent#.child# format. You'd have to heavily modify the code creating keys to do that.
