×I need my team to identify the "class" of task being accomplished and then the "type" of task within that class. Does Jira Custom FIelds allow me to select a "class" in one field and then auto-populate the "Type" field with the right list of "tasks"?
To use a slightly simplistic example, I could have "classes" defined as "Development" and "Fielding". Within the "Development" class, I might have individual types of task like "New Feature" or "Bug Fix" or "Library Update" whereas the "Fielding" class might have types of task like "Site Preparation", "Plan Visit", "Deployment" and "Post-Trip Report". I'd really like my team to be able to select the "class" first and then be presented with the right list of "types" for them to choose.
Is this at all feasible using Custom Fields, or perhaps some other feature set, within Jira?
