Is there a way to get visible notifications on jira tickets that has new updates

Is there a way to visually see if any cards/tickets has new updates or notification since last time i visited the board?

It's not going to know when is the last time you visited the board. If it is a Company-managed project, you could add a Quick Filter for issues update in the last day or something like that.

Why not? A time stamp registered when I visit the board shouldn't be a biggie?

It maybe not be a biggie to you, but I don't think it is available to you in an easy manner. You come to the board at 1:30 pm. And then the board stays open for 3 days in your browser. What value is it going to use?
