Is there a way to enforce a field has a value when moving to an open sprint?

We would like to enforce that a ticket has an assignee and an estimate before it is moved in to an open sprint. Is this possible?

Hello,

You have to create a screen with the assignee and original estimate field. Then put this screen to the transition, which leads to the open status, and add the Field required validator to this transition.

Can you explain what transition you mean? Can assigning a ticket to an open sprint be treated as a transition?
