Is there a way to display comments in reverse order, from most recent to oldest?

On the JIRA issue display, comments are listed oldest to newest. Can the display be reversed to show most recent to oldest?

Additionally, can the display be configured to only show the latest 25 comments?

You can't configure on onDemand. On the downloaded JIRA, there is an advanced property using which you can change the order.
