Is there a way to create a trend chart for the contents of a specific field

I am reporting from GitHub the % values of our unit test coverage and I would like to create a chart that allows me to show the trends of the values present in these custom fields. 

Is it possible to trend on a specific value in a custom field?

I do not believe there is a built-in chart to show trends/time-series for a custom field.  If you need this often you may want to investigate the marketplace for other reporting apps which can process history better: https://marketplace.atlassian.com/
