Is there a way to bulk assign to multiple tickets?

This question is in reference to Atlassian Documentation: Editing an Issue

This is in reference to tickets in an active sprint, but please feel free to answer this in regards to tickets in the backlog as well. Is there a way to bulk assign multiple tickets to a person.

Search for the issues you want to assign to the person, then look to the top right of the issue navigator - on the menu there, there should be a "bulk edit" option (if not, then check Admin -> Global permissions - you have to be in a group nominated in there to be able to use bulk edit).  You can then perform a single edit on the assignee field to drop all the selected issues on that one user.
