Is there a way to allow a group access to specific transition in JIRA?

In permission schemes there is no transition permission to a group. Now, I want to give that permission to the group but only for certain transition only. I had put that condition for that specific transition but since in Permission schemes it is not allowed, that's why it is not showing up. Can someone please help me here?

Yes, this is what conditions are for.  A condition stops users from using a transition unless certain criteria are met, usually user related ones like "user must be in role or group" or "user must have permission x"

I don't understand what you mean by "I had put that condition for that specific transition but since in Permission schemes it is not allowed, that's why it is not showing up"

Ok let me put it in other way. In permission schemes , the group 'A' don't have permission to do any transition at all. But in workflow, only for transition 'T' I had added condition to allow group 'A' to do that transition only. But when when I am logging in with any user of the group 'A', I am still not seeing option to do transition 'T'.

You are getting stopped in the permission scheme. The condition on the transition is never going to work because you're stopping them at a higher level. It's like saying I'm not going to allow you in the front door of the building, but it is OK if you use one office.

So how to implement this one? Is there no way?

Ah, I missed that "n permission schemes there is no transition permission to a group".

Yes, you can do it.  Allow the group transition permission in the scheme, then block the people you don't want to use it with conditions.

So you are saying allow the transition at permission level for that group, then in workflow, block other transitions for that group. Is that the only way?

Yes, as Joe says, there's no point allowing someone access to one room in a building if you have not granted them any permission to get into the building at all.
