Is there a way to add hyperlinks using the 'select (single) dropdown' field type?

Basically what I am trying to do is add the dropdown field so each issue can be assigned something specific. This item though would be a hyperlink that the person engaging the issue could click on to bring them to an external site.

For example, the field would be 'Client', and you would choose the client from a drop down to assign it to that issue. The item selected would be the hyperlink.

Hi Joe,

The rendering for that field type can't be changed so there's not a built in way to change that functionality.

If you have found a workaround definitely let us know!
