Is there a way I can sort "Child work items" under a FR?

Hi,

I've noticed that I can't drag and drop to adjust the listed order of "Child work items" under an FR, unlike how I can with Subtasks. 

What methods are available for grouping the Child work items, by type or a custom property?  The current sorting options of Created, Key, Priority, Status, Assignee aren't sufficient for our needs

The options you found are the only ones available natively from Jira for use within the Issue Details view.

Using the Search functionality you can specify a filter for all issues under a given parent and then specify alternate ORDER BY clauses. There is no GROUP BY option.

Within an agile board there are some native Group By options, or you can define Swimlanes based on Queries to create horizontal groupings of issues.

You might find other options available from third party app sin the Atlassian Marketplace. I have never had that requirement before so I don't have a specific app recommendation.
