Is there a reason that fixVersion isn't maintained when moving issues between projects?

Danielle Johnston March 19, 2012

I have multiple projects which share Version information. When I move an issue from one that has the same version name as a version name in the project that it's being moved to, I want to retain the fixVersion during the move. I can't see a way to do so in the current move dialog. Am I missing something?

Fix Version is unique to a project. Two projects can use the same version name but they are 2 different entities. Hence you will have to set it separately.

JIRA could be smart and suggest tp use the same if the version name matches but that is a different feature request!
