Is there a possibility to automatically update a field if the status of a related issue changes?

Hi all,

we are currently using jira cloud and want to use it to track our development as well as testing with it.

For this purpose we created to project - DEV and TEST.

Now when a new DEV ticket is opened, we will open a new TEST ticket too and link the TEST ticket "is blocked by" the DEV ticket.

What we want is:

When the DEV ticket is set to the status done that a checkbox on the TEST ticket is set to "false".

How could we manage to to this?
All extensions that could help that I saw were constructed for server, not for cloud version.

Hi Finn,

Unfortunately JIRA Cloud doesn't offer that many options like server does. I think what you are trying to do here can be achieved using a script.

Do you use by any chance Adaptavist ScriptRunner (not adverstising for the company) but I know they have the App available for JIRA Cloud users as well?

Hi Fadoua,

Right now we do not use Adaptivist ScriptRunner but it looks like a awesome tool for our requirements.

I will do some research and have a deeper look at it.
