Is there a limit to the number of sub-tasks in a sub-task template?

I have created a sub-task template with 12 sub-tasks.  When I assign the sub-task template to my issue only 6 of the sub-tasks populate.

There is no limit to the number of subtasks. Although high numbers aren'y usually helpful in tracking work.

The number displayed is based on a filter button as shown below. Check what that option.
