Is there a limit of itens (tickets) when searching?

I perceive that above 1000 tickets found I receive a error, something like "Many search results to display. Refine your search criteria and try again."

Yes, there's a limit to stop you from chewing up all the server resources and crippling the performance for the other users.  It is, as you've found, 1,000 issues.
