Is there a good way to show Timesheet values in a nice Dashboard like way? (We use Tempo teams)

Hi all,

We have this main project, which can link to many projects issues ("linked by" type), in those issues "dev" users are putting in their hours. 

What we are trying to do is show this on some sort of dashboard. Currently we've been using Tempo, created a team with certain members then a Tempo report that shows said members hours.

But we'd like something graphical, I been trying the Tempo gadgetson Jira Dashboards but I don't see any where I can get a basic Bar/Pie chart of just "this teams hours". Am I looking in the wrong place.

I'm a little wary going Atlassian Analytics route, and whether it even contains Tempo time data.

Would love to hear how others are going about this? Cheers

Hi @Calvin,

With Jira’s native gadgets, this is not possible, and I’m not familiar with Tempo.

However, if you consider using an app from the Atlassian Marketplace, I recommend taking a look at the Worklog Reports & Timesheets gadget offered by our Great Gadgets app.

This gadget allows creating all kind of time reports in form of pivot tables, heatmaps or pivot charts of various types (including bar & pie charts).

If you can be more specific  about what charts you want, I could provide more details and instructions on how to configure it.

The Tempo gadgets on Jira dashboards are pretty limited for charting, for bar/pie charts of team hours, Tempo's own Reports section actually gives you more options than the dashboard gadgets.

On Atlassian Analytics, I'd check directly with Tempo support on whether it includes their worklogs specifically, as that depends on how Tempo stores its data.

If you want full flexibility, pulling via the Tempo REST API into something like Looker Studio or Power BI is worth considering. A bit of setup but gives you exactly what you're after.
