Is it possible to use an alias for a column on the dashboard?

Is it possible to provide an alias for a column that I want to display on the Jira dashboard without having to rename the column itsself?

for example if there is a field called "Field 1" but I want that to show that as "Main Field" on the dashboard, is that possible?

Similarly is it possible to provide an alias for an issue type on the dashboard without renaming the actual issue type?

Hi @Deepa Narasimhan,

No, that is not possible. And probably also not recommendable: wouldn't that lead to major confusion amongst your users? Your question suggests that your issue types and some custom fields have names that don't represent what your business means by them. If you want to fix that, I would strongly recommend you fix that by actually renaming them to what they really mean.
