Is it possible to turn a release created under one project to a crossproject release? because I need to link under one release, epics and tasks from different projects.

Or do I need to recreate those releases again using the "create cross-project release" option?

I already have all releases I need created, but under one project, so was just wondering if it is possible to make that switch.

Thanks!

Hello @MB

Welcome to the Atlassian community.

Based on the cross-project release documentation, I believe the answer is no, you can't convert a release in a project to a cross-project release.

Thanks Trudy! Ok,so, just to confirm, then Jira doesnt allow to add epics and taks from different projects under the same release?

Correct.

You would need to use the cross-project release functionality available with the Advanced Roadmaps feature, which is part of the Premium Subscription plan.

You could potentially create identically named releases in each project, but those would be separate releases from Jira's perspective. Built-in Release based reports wouldn't aggregate the information.
