Is it possible to migrate some projects from a 6.14 Jira On Premise to Jira Cloud?

Due to a Company separation, I want to move some of our On Premise JIRA installation to our new JIRA Cloud. In order to do this, do I need to bring On Premise JIRA 6,14 to the same version level as Cloud Jira?

Yes. The JIRA Cloud version will always be in the latest stable version.
