Is it possible to make use of the component lead definition in linked projects using component sync?

Maybe my question wasn't clear enough. Am using the Component Sync for JIRA plugin and expected that the component lead defined in the master project will be also set as component lead in the linked project.

Seems like this is not the case.

Anybody have an idea how to achive this?
