Is it possible to have work log option only for some issuetypes

If I want to user log work for only tasks and to epics (issuetypes) is it possible to take work log option away from epics?

I already have different field configurations for each issuetypes, but behind ... I can still find "Log work" option.

Is this for all issuetypes or not for anything setting?

Welcome to the Atlassian community.

Are you working with issues in a Company Managed project or a Team Managed project?

In a Company Managed project you can create a separate workflow to associate to the issue types where you want to prevent work logging. Then in that workflow set workflow properties on each Status to deny access to work logging.
