Is it possible to have a diff instead of whole description in Jira email notifications when issue description changes?

Is it possible to have a diff instead of whole description in Jira email notifications when issue description changes?

Currently when user changes issue descripiton we get two big chunks of text in the email notifications - the old and the new one. It would be much more convenient to have only a difference between these versions. Is it possible by some plugin or configuration option?

I created a feature request to provide this functionality.

Others appear to have tackled the issue with in the ticket history itself. e.g.
