Welcome to the Atlassian community.

It is not possible to selectively remove sprints from the native velocity chart. It will reflect the sprints that show for the associated Scrum board.

i want to update the board filter with sprint name starting letter. is it possible ? for example my sprint name will start with PT5 26w11-13. i need a query to consider only sprint name starting with PT5.

Also i need to make velocity chart for customised period any other option to do this. is it possible to create separate velocity chart

You could use Atlassian Analytics or EAZYBI to do this

That is not possible in native Jira JQL. I have not found a third party app that provides functionality like that within JQL, but I have not done an exhaustive search.

There was a change request from 2016 for a feature to filter if issues based on partial matches to the text in the sprint name, but it was closed as Won't Fix in 2021.

• Show velocity across the last N closed sprints using a rank-based measure
• Group sprints by quarter, month, or any custom period
