Is it possible to create auto triggers for additional steps that need to be taken?

Is it possible to create auto triggers in Jira that assigned next steps to other individuals that need to make additional updates after the first ticket is resolved?

Hi @Katie Ferrier-Clark,

The short answer is "Yes, absolutely" - how very much depends on what those next steps look like.

  • Using automation rules, you can perfectly automate the creation of new tickets based on conditions in your original ticket.
  • You can use rules in a workflow to take actions automatically after a ticket transitions to a certain status.
