Is it possible to create an overall view of all to do tasks? I would like to have a board with all the to-do tasks sorted by deadline of all projects together.

Hello @kim de Voigt

Welcome to the Atlassian community.

What type of projects are you working with? Are they Team Managed or Company Managed? Are they Business, Software, or Service Management? Get that information from the Type column on the View All Projects page under the Projects menu.

You can create a Filter to select all the issues of interest across projects.

For information on creating and saving filters refer to:

https://support.atlassian.com/jira-software-cloud/docs/search-for-issues-in-jira/

Agile boards (scrum and kanban) can be created based on Saved Filters. Navigate to the list of all Boards on your instance by clicking in the Search field at the top of the Jira screen, then clicking the Boards button that displays at the bottom next to the Go to all label.

From the list of boards click the Create Board button.

Choose the type of board you want - Scrum (if you want to display active Sprints) or Kanban (if you want to display issues regardless of sprints).

Next you are prompted for the source data for your board. Choose the option Board from a saved filter

You are then prompted for a name for your board, the filter you want to use, and a Location. For Location you are only allowed to select from Company Managed Software projects and your personal boards collection.

After making all you selections, complete the Create Board wizard.

If you want others to be able to see the board you will have to Share the filter you created with those people.
