Hey Guys! Im trying without success to create a workflow for issues only for time tracking, the idea is that a user creates an issue that automatically closes when created and asks for summary and "log work".

is it possible to create this type of workflow? How could i do it?

Thanks in advance

Gabriel.

Hi Gabriel,

I haven't heard of this use case before.  What if you just created a workflow that only contains the "Closed" status?

When you create a new workflow, it automatically adds one status for you, usually the "Open" status (unless you've changed its name.)  You can change the step name and the linked status in text mode, without adding any additional statuses or transitions.

Also, you might want to add a post function to the "Create" action to auto set a resolution.  Nothing's worse than a bunch of closed issues with a null (unresolved) resolution!

Good luck with your quest,

Rachel Wright
