Is it possible to create a board connected to a filter in a next-gen software project?

I'm trying to  create a board that's connected to a filter and allows to group the tasks by assignee and project whenever I need to. I know it's possible to do this using swimlanes in a classic software project. But the problem is it only allows to set one swimlane (either assignee or project). In my case I want to be able to group the tasks however I want, whenever I want, without changing the board settings for the rest of the board users. 

Is it possible to do this in a next-gen project? Or in any other type of project in Jira Software?

You can create another board that uses a filter that references the Next-gen project. Then you have the ability to do some customization with the board.
