Dears,

I have specially configured structures for all of my projects (650+). So when I create a project I also make a copy of template structure. When the copy is ready I make some changes in the "automation" section.

I added some effectors to move dates from gantt structure to custom system attributes. But the effectors is only available in structure, where I created the effectors.

Is it possible to copy effectors for all of the structures? If not, then I need to copy the effectors from one structure to another 650+ structures manually with CTRL+C & CTRL+V ?

I tried to make an automat with script runner but it's not working.

Thank you.

Hello @gergely_kvitek ,

David from ALM Works here.

There are two ways to copy Effectors:

  1. Copy the entire structure, resulting in a brand new structure, using the "copy generators to the resulting structure" option
  2. Copy the effectors to an existing structure using Cut, Copy and Paste

Based on what you have described, neither one of these options would be ideal for your scenario.  Though, maybe the first option will be useful when you create your template structures moving forward.

There is another option that I think would help.  Now that you have pushed the Structure.Gantt start and end values to a Jira field, you can make use of Manual Scheduling in your Gantt Configuration.

Here, you will map the Structure.Gantt start and end dates to match the Jira field you have used the Effectors to write to.  Now, when these dates are set (post effector) they will use the Jira field rather than the Structure.Gantt Attribute.

If you are using the same Struture.Gantt configuration for all of your structures, then you will only need to update the configuration once.

Please let me know if this helps, or if I can help clarify further!  I look forward to your feedback.

Best Regards,
David Niro
