Is a Jira or JSM License required to submit an idea with Jira Product Discovery?

We want to provide our company employees access to submit ideas through Jira Product Discovery. Our employees are setup as JSM Customers, JSM Analysts, or Jira users.

Trying to determine if JPD has the capability to allow JSM customers the ability to submit ideas, view their ideas, and post comments on ideas. I thought the contributor role provided that access. When our site admin added the contributor role, it granted JPD license to the person that was a JSM customer and ONLY needs to submit ideas.

Trying to determine what is needed to allows our JSM customers to submit ideas.

Hello Joni,

it's free up to 3 creators, to allow you to create ideas from JSM to JPD would require an automation that could move the issues from a JSM project to JPD.

Best regards,

Alonso.-

Do you know the purpose of the contributor role? From what I read, it sounded like anyone could submit an idea and ONLY creators could update them. Contributors could post comments and view the status of their idea submissions.
