Irrelevant project issue are updated while associating a project to an issuetype scheme.

We were trying to associate/switch project to a specific issuetype scheme, during the process many irrelevant project issues are updated.

Does anyone know whats the reason behind it?
Is there any JIRA issue/bug linked to this scenario?

Schemes are project configuration settings, they apply to the whole project, not bits of it.

There are no "irrelevant project issues" - the scheme changes you are applying apply to everything in the project, by definition.

There are no bugs or issues with this, it is behaving as designed and intended.
