Integration with Microsoft Teams

Hi, we'd like to integrate Microsoft Teams with our JIRA cloud instance to be able to create tickets or migrate conversations to JIRA tickets from Teams. Is this possible? It does appear we have it integrated but all I get in Teams are updates to tickets, we want the reverse communication too.

The native Microsoft Teams for Jira Cloud integration mainly pushes Jira issue updates into Teams channels, but it doesn’t support creating Jira issues directly from a Teams conversation out-of-the-box. To achieve that, you can either use the **Microsoft Teams Jira Cloud bot** (available in the Teams app store) which allows basic issue creation via commands, or set up an **Incoming Webhook** in Jira Automation that triggers from Teams using Power Automate. For richer functionality, consider third‑party apps like “Troopr” or “Halp” which provide full bidirectional interaction, including creating and updating Jira issues directly from Teams chats.
