Hi,

We currently use BambooHR for our onboarding and offboarding. I would like to generate a high priority Jira ticket when a user is terminated. Is this functionality available out of the box and how can we achieve this?

Thanks

Hello @mtaylor

Welcome to the Atlassian community.

Have you tried an internet search for "bamboohr jira cloud integration"? That will provide you a variety of integration options.

There is no native function within Jira that will automatically recognize something happened in BambooHR. You will have to set up some kind of integration.

In Jira, without a third party app, you could create an Automation Rule to create a Jira issue automatically. You can use the Incoming Webhook trigger to enable the Automation to be called by anything that can make a REST API call.

I don't know about the capabilities of BambooHR, but if there is a capability for automation in there perhaps you can configure it to call the Jira Automation Rule's webhook when the termination event occurs.
