Insights not working because my estimation setting is not supported

Trying to get the insights to work for backlog and sprint real-time metrics.

However I am getting this error:

"We don't currently support your estimation setting. This insight only works for story points, issue count or time estimation."

I believe I'm getting it because we are using a custom story points field but am unsure. Does anyone know an easy way to check this and set up the insights to work properly?

May try this : Go to board , Configure board (three dots on right top)

Select estimation: choose estimation.

Select insights: Ensure all required insights are enables.

Estimation method is set to story points... and these do show up on the issue both in the backlog and sprint.

All insights are also enabled.

I don't believe it is a board setting issue but a project setting issue with those fields
