Insight /Assets Add on no longer available

We were using insight add on for our assets in our instance. It changed to assets add on when we went to the data center license from Jira server

Our license expired and when are trying to renew the Assets, we are not able to. 

Support says we need Jira Service license for this.

Now on my production system I have an add on not working

The standalone App is now end-of-life - see this help page:

Assets Data Center (formerly Insight Asset Management)

The standalone version of Assets Data Center (formerly Insight Asset Management) is now end of life and no longer supported. This includes all versions available from the marketplace (version 8.11.1 and earlier).

Starting with Jira Service Management Data Center version 4.15, Assets is now packaged with Jira Service Management. When Jira Service Management Data Center is updated, Assets will also be updated.

This means you can't renew the App as it's no longer an option - so you need to purchase JSM to get native Asset Management, or switch to an alternative App from the Marketplace such as...

• Assets and Inventory Plugin for Jira 
• AssetIT - Asset Management for Jira, JSM, ITSM 
• STAGIL Assets 
• ...or another App from the Marketplace

I did look at the alternate applications. I have issues tied to these fields. I would need to reconfigure all my tables. Was the end of life news for the add on published ?

I can't find a definitive article, but I've seen Community posts mentioning it as far back as 2022.

Thanks Stephen for your response. On our production system we are now not able to get to our assets database unless we pay for the JiraService Desk which is not of any value to our business needs

If the minimal license is the cost of the Assests add on or a little more we are fine with it.

It is not so.
