Inquiry regarding Jira issue creation screen layout issue

Hi

This is Jung-hoon Shin, Senior Research Engineer at SWM.

I am writing to inquire about a sudden change in the Jira creation screen. When I click the "Create" button, the standard "Create Story" screen appears momentarily, but then it suddenly switches to a simplified layout, as shown in the attached image.

Could you please explain why this is happening and guide me on how to restore it to the original layout?

The Create screen you see is a new feature that Atlassian are releasing currently. Your site admin can switch it off via General configuration > Options > Simple create as default.

This is the Release Note for it https://community.atlassian.com/release-notes/4h0rs4udXCl87swm6VbjRI which states that Atlassian are seeking feedback. I sent my feedback via a support ticket (I had nothing positive to say about it ;))

Thanks for the screenshots.

It looks like two separate things are happening here: which fields are available versus how the dialog itself actually looks. Your screen configurations control the fields, but Atlassian controls the visual layout.

First, click the three dots (...) in the create dialog and select Configure fields. Make sure Hide unused fields is turned off, and use Find your field to see if they are just tucked away. On the admin side, you can double-check Project settings > Screens to confirm those fields are still mapped to that specific issue type's Create screen.

Hi @Shin jeong hun When creating a work item, you have the option to enable/disable the Hide unused fields toggle from the More actions menu, see the screenshot below:

thank you, but It should look like the screenshot you provided, but mine looks like this instead. I would like my screen to match the one you showed me.
