Inline edit an issue's Priority field from the backlog/issues list view?

In Jira next-gen software projects, Is it possible to inline edit the issue Priority field from the issues list / backlog view without having to open the issue details pane? If so, how?

For example, I see that you can inline edit the issue's story points and I'd like similarly be able to edit the Priority field.

Hi @Sergei

I don't think that this is possible in "native" Jira.

However, if you're open to solutions from the Atlassian Marketplace, I'm sure you'll like JXL for Jira.

JXL is a full-fledged spreadsheet/table view for your issues that allows viewing and inline-editing all your issue fields, of course including the priority field. You can also bulk-edit fields using copy/paste. JXL integrates into the project sidebar, so many customers found it a great addition to the native issue search.

Here's how it looks in action:

It's worth noting that JXL can do much more than that: From quick sorting and filtering, to inline issue creation, to support for issue hierarchies, issue grouping, and sum-ups. Disclaimer: I work on JXL :)

Hope this helps,

Best,

Hannes
