Inherit Fields

Hi All, 

I have been going through various sites and tried to replicate what the same solutions, but have not been able to get the rule to work. 

I have Epics populated, I want newly created tasks to inherit the some fields from the Epic like "Reporter", and subsequently I want newly created subtasks to inherit the fields from the Task.

The rule runs successfully, and I don't see any errors, but the fields are not being populated. 

What is wrong or how can I troubleshoot where the error is?

I changed the trigger to manually try to check where is wrong, but it doesn't seem to work still.

Hi Amanda ! Welcome to the Community.
Verify also if the fields that you want to populate must be on the Create Screen of your tasks and sub-tasks.

Can you share a screenshot of the details of the Edit Issue actions? Basically you want to copy from the Parent
