I have inherited a Jira board and all the user stories and task they have the epic colour in the summary, which is confusing as you can see below:

Also if i change the colour there it doesn't change it in the epic.

In another Jira project I started from scratch the stories show as they should without the epic colour:

How do I remove the square from stories, tasks and bugs? Help please!!

Hi @Elisa Damiani  - Not an answer, additional information.

I observed this behavior in my cloud Jira instance. I believe the cause, in my case, was migrating Jira issues from one project to another.  I made a mistake and migrated a few stories into Epics.  Upon realizing my mistake, I reversed the now Epics, back to the expected User Stories.  When moved back to Stories, the Epic Color remained in-tact producing the behavior in your screenshot.

I have been unable, so far, to find a way to remove the Epic Color from a User Story. Did you find a solve?

Hi Elisa - Welcome to the Atlassian Community!

What type of project is this? Business? Software? Team-managed? Company-managed?
