In manage rules, I want to end date to update automatically

Grant Crawford September 24, 2019

I have managed rules within sprints to add an automated start date when an issue is moved into a specific swim lane, I want to add a rule that adds an end date when the issue is moved to the complete swim lane, is this possible?

Hello Grant,

Welcome to Atlassian community!

Per your description, I understand that you would like to add an "End Date" field that would be automatically filed with the current time when an issue is transitioned from one status/column to the final one in a Next-gen board. Is it correct?

You can achieve it by performing the steps below:

1 - Navigate to your project > Project settings > Issue types

2 - Click on the issue types you would like to add the field > Click to create a new Date field:

3 - Navigate back to your project board > Click to create a new managed rule

4 - Configure the rule to set the field with the current time when the issue is transitioned to the final column

Let me know if this is what you were looking for.
