Importing into Portfolio creates issues under a single epic

I am using Portfolio in JIRA without JIRA Agile. We will be using a waterfall approach. We plan to enter issues into JIRA and then import them into Portfolio. 

When I import issues into Portfolio all issues appear under an epic titled "New Epic - Imported". 

I would like to import the issues from JIRA in a flat manner.

Hi Scott

The current functionality of JIRA Portfolio is to import all issues into a single Epic. The way Portfolio handles the import, from what I can see, is to treat the issues being imported like they are part of a single larger story, hence placing them in an Epic.
