Importing XML Backup into existing cloud environment

Good Day,

We are planning to migrate to Jira cloud and have found an article stating that importing into cloud will overwrite all data, is it possible to merge an existing server instance with software and service desk projects and well as the use of Jira advanced roadmaps with an existing Jira cloud instance.

@ferns if you migrate from sever to cloud you will overwrite all the content in the cloud. https://support.atlassian.com/migration/docs/use-jira-site-import-to-migrate-from-server-to-cloud/

You can move it to a different cloud instance and do a cloud to cloud merge.
