Import and Export Project for External Partner

Is there a way to export our (Internal data ) to an external partner and upload it to their JIRA once it is set up, or is it simply a copy and paste exercise?

CVS export and import? Just you must be careful with fields mapping... I´d definitely try it on small amount of issues and testing instance of your partner.
