Import Projects to JIRA 7.2.1

We are using JIRA Software v6.2.2 in Production environment and have installed a new JIRA Software v7.2.1 on new Server. Now, want to Migrate Projects through the Exported XML from JIRA 6.2 to JIRA 7.2. Can some help with the required steps and action to be taken.

Take a copy of production 6.2.2, upgrade it to 7.2.1 and then export from that.  Then you'll be able to import it into the new 7.2
