Import CSV - custom fields all blanks

Hi All,

I am new to jira and trying to load issues via a CSV file. The issues are created but all the custom fields appear to be blank.
I have 
1 I have put all sentences containing a special character in "" and saved the file as comma-delimited 
2 selected the external system import = CSV
3 Advanced setting = CSV and UTF-8
4 Selected the project
5 Mapped the csv field to the jira fields and selected the map field value options for those custom fields I created with a picklist

6 the file loads 8 user stories successfully but only default fields are populated

What am I doing wrong?

when I look at the log against custom fields there is nothing? is it normal?

The steps to import your issues through CSV seems to be correct, however, there are some minor details that could be causing the custom fields to don't be properly mapped. 

Please, provide us with the following information below so we can better troubleshoot the problem:

- Can you provide the CSV file you are trying to import? Please, hide any sensitive content you might have in your fields, but don't change the name of the fields mapped.

- What is the type of custom fields you are trying to import? Per your description, you already have the custom fields created in your site, so you are only mapping the field value in your CSV issues. Is that correct?

- Are you importing the CSV file to a Next-gen or Classic project? There is a bug that might prevent you to import custom fields to Next-gen projects:

- Do you have any Contexts applied in the custom fields mapped in the CSV file?

- Can you confirm if you are importing your issues using the client under Jira Settings > System > External import system? Or are you using the issue navigator importer?
