Implement Custom field validation

Hi all,

New user here !

I am looking at options to implement custom validation on few text fields before a new ticket is saved. I want to search for specific keywords / patterns in the description field, before the information is saved. If I found the pattern, then I want to take appropriate action (change priority or update another custom field etc, modify the text in the description field).

Do we have any existing field validators that server this purpose ? Ideally, I want to extend this validation to comments field too.

Please advise.
