Hi everyone,
I'm having trouble with the latest version of Jira Cloud where I can no longer add image thumbnails into my ticket. Every-time I add an image, it automatically adds the full-screen image, resulting in the formatting of the ticket being unusable.
I have checked the Jira admin settings and thumbnails are enabled, no setting was ever changed since this update happened a week ago.
Does anyone know a fix or if this is looking to be reverted? It's made me completely lose the ability to add nicely formatted images into my tickets.
Thanks
1. At the end of your issue URL suffix with ?oldIssueView=true
example: https://yourcompanydomain.com/browse/EN-123?oldIssueView=true
2. click Edit
3. Then rename the filename to: somefile.png|thumbnail!
Hi Michael,
Just for us to better understand and help you with this issue, can you please let us know if you are adding this image on the description or comment?
How are you attaching this file? Is it by the Browse option or drag and drop?
If possible, send us a screenshot of how it looks on your instance, then we can replicate the issue here to verify if it's a bug or not.

Angélica

Hi Angelica,
Here is an example of how the images look in the ticket. Notice how the image is full-screen, rather than a thumbnail. This is when adding images both through the attachment and by directly dragging and dropping into the ticket. It happens on every ticket I create with every image.
Thanks,
Michael

Hi Michael,
Thank you for the details.
I was able to replicate the issue on my local environment and created a bug for our dev team to check.

Please, click on vote and watch to receive updates about the bug.
The workaround, for now, is to use the old view. You can disable it by going on your profile > Jira Labs. If you are using a Next-Gen project, you will have to open the tickets through > Issues and Filters.

Angélica
