If an issue has an attached .sql file how do I open it into SSMS

Download it by clicking on it, and then use "open" in SSMS or "open with" in the file manager.

Thanks Nic. That has worked in the past - but has become inconsistent (with the files mostly opening in the web browser instead) I am not an administrator so I cant see if any settings have been altered - at board or issue level

That's not a function of JIRA, it's your browser that chooses what to do with files you ask for from sites.
