Hi,

recently, we cleaned up the set of resolutions existing in our grown JIRA instance only to recognize later, that some of the deleted resolutions have reappeared magically.

Our best guess is, those resolutions are created and controlled by one or several plugins.

Do any of you know how we can identify resolutions that are created and controlled via a plugin?

Thanks,

Alex

Unless the vendor specifically documents it, there's not a lot of hope of doing this.  They might have done one of the nicer options to be nice to our admins and you might find something like "adding resolution" in the application log at start-up, or possibly lines in the admin audit log.  They might not even be doing it on start up, but when someone tries to use a function.

That said,

  • There are not very many that do things like this.  And resolution is quite low on the list of fields amended by apps (links and status are far more likely to be hit)
  • If you could list the suspect ones here, someone might recognise them!
  • If you wanted to share your list of user-installed apps here, same again!
