IS there a way to display the Issue ID in issues?

IS there a way to display the Issue ID in issues?

Our users are getting confused by the Issue Key and I would like to display the Issue ID, since it will not change if an issue is moved to a different project.

Not natively, but scripted fields from add-ons could be used to say simply issue.getId()

I'm not sure it is of that much use though - the issue key is a more memorable format, informs you of the project, is exposed everywhere as the unique id, and can be added to a url to go straight there. Plus you can always find a moved issue by its old key in the quick search or url. The issue id does none of that.
